Spanish Learning Resources

This page is intended for persons who speak English as their first language and are attempting to learn Spanish. It is generally suggested that one begin by learning the alphabet and the various sounds that may be different to the english language. English speakers should be able to obtain a fairly good accent without trouble. After this basic vocabulary should be memorized until it is second nature, then the conjugation of verbs should begin. During the time that one begins to conjugate verbs basic grammatical principles should be put into place in forming a coherent sentence structure.

Summary:

  1. Begin by learning the alphabet.
  2. Enhance knowledge of the alphabet with basic vocabulary Ie. pronouns, adjectives, nouns.
  3. Learn to conjugate verbs in the correct tense. Beginning with present tense moving to future and past tenses. Spanish has other tenses that should be mastered soon thereafter.
  4. Incorporate grammatical proficiency while learning to conjugate verbs.
