There are among many foods only one that can truly be considered the divinity of them all. Now in all typicality most people would consider chocolate to be so superior to any food that nothing could rival it. Which in almost all aspects is true. However, when chocolate is combined with rose flavored jelly knows as Turkish, chocolate can only be considered an unworthy competitor. I remember the first time I tried this delightful treat. It was a weekend, and my grandmother (who I have called Granny ever since I can remember) came to visit. That day we were set to go to the circus, which for me was an exciting event. For an adult you couldn't imagine how much enthusiasm she put into everything, even though some of the childish aspects would have worn most grown people out. She had come a bit early as she always did, to see how things were, and look at the latest creations that I had invented with my toys. Which I was always glad to share. With her she had brought some package's of Turkish Delight and two pens. First, she opened the Turkish Delight. The package was a glaring pinkish red mixed with purple, like a sunset you would imagine in the middle east. I remember saving these wrappers for many years later, because they seemed so foreign and beautiful. As the package was first opened the aroma I detected was entirely new, and had a mouth watering property like no other food. As I bit into the new candy I could taste a rosy flavored gel that was thick, but soft. It might be compared to the sweetness of a kiss, except more tender and enjoyable. I remember savoring the taste in my mouth for as long as I could. Then sniffing the wrapper whenever I desired a reminder of the delight.
