I Received Honorable Mention on my essay, and so i'd like to share. [When not to keep a secret] Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold are some of the most infamous young killers of our time. They were withdrawn highschoolers who were abused and teased by their peers. Both were members of a gang called the "Trench coat Mafia&". Whose members faced many of the same day to day problems as they. On April 20, 1999 Eric and Dylan massacred several of their classmates. In the end they took their own lives as well. Many specialists blamed the vicious killings on their addictions to the Internet and various violent games. Though violent media may have influenced such actions; I feel the real problem was the constant abuse they received from peers. After so much hurt and embarrassment they decided to strike back. Interestingly enough peers and teachers did little or nothing to stop the all too constant teasing. Their secrets' of abuse were left in deep dark holes, and came out through the barrels of their guns. Although I don't approve of the way they tried to wake-up society and show it what was happening. I feel they left a highly important message. Being that any abuse shouldn't be taken lightly. It should be reported and stopped.
