Maybe less detailed now that they have aged and are now fading pieces of my memories. I finished the 6 week course in Chemistry. The last week focused on organic Chemistry. The naming was probably the most difficult, but I think I scored well on the test, not well, but not terrible. I also managed to score average on the test preceeding that one. I must have also done considerably well on the final seeing as I got an A in the class. The last day was the famous Faraday lecture day which was for entertainment and the opportunity to give the grades out. My mom came with me and was rather annoying talking and making far too many comments for my taste, but I feel better about it now that it's over. Afterwards we took a trip to the University bookstore. I got a cheap 256mb USB Disk my others are getting full, and need to have many files sorted. We went home and then waited a day or so before getting onto St. George to visit my grandparents. We went Friday afternoon or maybe Saturday afternoon I think Friday and stayed all the way up until Friday the 28th of July(2006). The days went by quickly my grandmother had her brithday and we went out to Red Lobster and Gold Corral the day before we left. I only remember eating out those two times. I was periodically sick because of the use of antibiotics and dehydration. I spent my time watching movies with my family up there. My granny is so old and forgets all the time and gets angry and doesn't trust us at all, and it has only amplified her lack of understanding when she sort of understood. There is no point in arguing with her. Ick, and watch out she will try to shove almost anything down your throat to get you to eat it, and you have to say no thank you time and again. You may even have the opportunity to be asked if the plate of pizza she made herself is the one you made four times. It was rather annoying. We still try to put up with it of course and that is good of course. Filling in the other bored spots I played Command and Conquer on my grandfathers computer, and learned to control this point-and-click game. It's fun because of the god element to it, but you have to site down for a long time to make it as much fun as possible, and that can get tedious. Possibly more tedious than being on the internet all day anyways. Othertimes well I think only two times when the weather was blisteringly hot I went out at night and was able to connect to a wireless network, though there were many I was only able to connect to a single one out of close to 20. The laptop I was using didn't have a great range so I was stuck outside looking foolish and awaiting attacks by dogs and perhaps people. Though few people went out at night, since it was still hot enough to make you sweat. Streetnet or warwalking was interesting. Certainly not my favorite way of surfing, but I would do just about anything for it.Hmm, I don't recall having done too much else after those things. I did go bowling one day and played two games and I won one of them. Later we went to "Fiesta Fun" place, which smelled of bad pizza, and got some tokens to play arcade games and air hockey. It wasn't that much fun at Fiesta Fun, mostly because that place is disgusting and boring. The main event of the entire trip which is still pending completion was the loss of our African Grey Parrot. Macey as she is called sits on a perch downstairs when we visit the grandparents and along with that a room away with a sliding door that is kept open to lets the dogs outside to the backyard. The bird was good all week and got scared occasionally and would leave her perch and fly frantically around the room. Oddly enough on the last day she disappaeared within the matter of an hour and wasn't to be found. With more than 4 people searching the borders of the house and inside as well. We didn't know what to do, and I make practically 100 missing flyers for the bird, and then we posted them at local stores and on the mailboxes of the neighbors. Feeling that we would never see the bird again we left sadly. With all bets on the lawncrew having stolen her to sell her for a profit. Seeing as my grandmother unkowingly pisses people off, and boy is she good at it. We set off at a little after 3pm and not to happily but we just needed to leave my crazy granny. Tensions were high with her never shutting up, and adding to every effort we had thought of. No calls no nothing. So we were strapped without knowing what we should do. We made it home safely but tired and in pain. I drove most of the way. That god for cruise control. This morning the even transpired even further. At about 8am or sooner the bird was sighted crossing the road! Oddly the fire dempartment was called and they had no luck except to scare the bird off into a tree in the backyard. For supposedly "clipped" wings she had been talented enough to get around to many places, and thankfully and hopefully still surviving the heat. My mother went down the 5 hour trip once again the day after having made the trip, almost as soon as she heard the news. With any luck they will be able to remove her from the tree, and to get her eating and drinking what she so desperately needs water.
