Today, today and nevermore. Then there came a tapping. Ah, today what a day what a very long day. It's been such a long day and I am exhausted, but wish to keep myself somewhat lucid as I describe my day as a perfect compendium of the spectacular life that is mine. Yesterday, Friday night I worked and worked and then prepared myself for the following day of today when I took the ACT. But before all that here is what I did.. While in bed I watched the Simpson's Halloween special, and at the end they had a reading of The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe, and it's a masterpiece. I must have read it before just never realized how beautiful it was. Then eventually with considerable effort I was able to sleep. I awoke early at 6:30 to prepare myself for the test at 8:00.Though I admit I pressed the snooze button many times, which is why I set it as early as 5:30 to prepare myself gradually to the trauma of getting up. I had French toast made by my mom, and It was absolutely wonderful. Then with a dropping stress level we ventured to Cottonwood High School where I took the four hour long test. The first section was 75 questions and covered writing ability, word use, and basic grammar. Seeing as my grammar is impeccably terrible, I can only guess that I did a little below average. The next section consisted of 60 questions as I remember, and covered simple mathematics through trigonometric function, which I can easily say I did poorly on. An intermission of 10 minutes between the four tests led me into a semi-dreamlike feeling, and I can only think that I was considerably disoriented. After this short intermission testing resumed and I took the Reading test which I found to be just silly it was 35 minutes long and consisted of 40 questions, but the time was very short and being a slower reader gave me a considerable disadvantage. The last test was the Science test and had the same format as the last test. This test like most standardized science tests covered reading graphs and tables, surprisingly, it also covered logical reasoning and was in many portions of this subtest extremely difficult. The questions were divided by individual experiments where data needed to be analyzed and then interpreted with logical predictions. Sometimes the formation of the experiments and other data was too overwhelming, and I found myself trying as best I could to make at least a probable guess... After all this I left the test center to enter the world void of desks and filled with the warm springlike atmosphere. Went home and worked on programming. Ick, then I forgot to eat lunch, and I feel so sick now.
